On May 8, 2020,during the exceptional circumstances imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic,I had the honor of conducting a remarkable remote interview with Captain Nawaf Al-Temyat through the platform of the Leadership Preparation Institute. The virtual meeting complied with the precautionary measures and restrictions in place at the time.

The dialogue was rich and profound exploring multiple themes around athletic leadership, specifically how a football player can become a true leader, not only on the field but also in their professional and personal life.

Captain Nawaf spoke about the importance of players building their character on foundations of values, discipline, and humility. He emphasized that from the very beginning, athletes must recognize that stardom is a responsibility before it is fame.

We also focused on the concept of legacy– what a player leaves behind after their sports career ends. Both of us stressed that giving back doesn’t stop at the final whistle; it begins anew when the player decides to leverage their name and stardom to serve their community and pass on their experience to future generations.

That interview was an inspiring experience blending experience, awareness, and responsibilityIt showcased an honorable model of an athlete whose achievements extend far beyond the football pitch, reaching into the realms of community impact and role modeling... This is "Nawaf Bandar Al-Temyat" ❤️.
