On November 1, 2018, my journey to Djibouti began as I traveled with a Saudi delegation to the city of Abkh for the inauguration of "Saudi Village" dedicated to sheltering Yemenis affected by Houthi violations.

This step came as part of initiatives by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief), under the leadership of Dr. Abdullah Al Rabeeah reflecting the humanitarian face of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its noble mission toward afflicted nations.

The village consists of 300 housing units equipped to provide dignified living conditions for Yemeni families, alongside a school, mosque, and comprehensive medical clinic. Elite Saudi physicians participated in its establishment and operation affirming the Kingdom's commitment to supporting human needs across health, education, and living standards.

This event beautifully blended humanitarian aspects with sports when Saudi football stars, Nawaf Al-Temyat, Manaf Abushqair, Mohammed Shelia, and Ibrahim Mater, participated in inaugurating a sports stadium built for Yemeni children. A friendly match was held, carrying within it messages of hope and psychological support for the refugee children.

number of Saudi influencers in the humanitarian field, most notably Fayez Al-Maliki and Faisal Al-Abdulkarim, also contributed to spotlighting the scale of the efforts undertaken and the importance of humanitarian solidarity. They broadcast scenes of support and unity from the event site to the local and international community.

This initiative was a true model of integrated humanitarian work, where various facets of Saudi society—athletes, doctors, media professionals, and influencers—collaborated under the umbrella of the King Salman Relief Center to convey the Kingdom's clear message:Human First, wherever they may be, regardless of their gender, race, or religion.
